Kompany lauds dangerous Karl after record-breaking Champions League goal - Soccer News
"Lennart is always dangerous. To be honest, he's played better games for us, but he's always there,"
"When he gets his moments, he just finishes. That's important for us."
"Sporting is a tough opponent; they're in the top eight of the Champions League for a reason. We stayed calm after going behind."
Lennart Karl scored in the 69th minute to put Bayern Munich ahead in a 3-1 comeback win over Sporting CP, his third consecutive Champions League match with a goal. Serge Gnabry had earlier cancelled out Joshua Kimmich's own goal, and Jonathan Tah finished the scoring. Karl, aged 17 years and 290 days, set a competition record for youngest player to score in three consecutive appearances since 1992-93. Bayern extended their unbeaten home Champions League group-stage run to 37 matches (W35 D2). Vincent Kompany praised Karl's danger and finishing, and Kimmich indicated continued playing time for the youngster.
