Klopp: Return to Liverpool is theoretically possible in future - Soccer News
""I said I will never coach a different team in England. So that means if [he returns] it's Liverpool," Klopp told the Diary of a CEO podcast. "So yeah, theoretically it's possible. I love what I do right now, I don't miss coaching. I don't. I mean I do coach, just different, not players. And I don't miss it. I don't miss standing in the rain two-and-a-half, three hours. I don't miss going to a press conference three times a week.""
""I don't miss being in the dressing room in the sense that I don't have it often enough. I coached 1,080 something games. So, I was in the dressing room very, very often. "I'm 58, that's from your perspective, old from the other side, it's not that old. That means I could make the decision in a few years. I don't know.""
Jurgen Klopp left Liverpool at the end of the 2023-24 season after nine years and major trophies including the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. He began a four-year contract as Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer in January and says he currently does not miss coaching. Klopp states he will not manage another English club, so any future English return would be to Liverpool, and he calls that scenario theoretically possible. He lists the aspects he does not miss, such as long training sessions, press conferences and frequent media duties. Klopp remains in contact with successor Arne Slot, and Liverpool have spent heavily yet struggled recently with a losing run.
