"Adidas has made a habit of re-releasing retro kits from a variety of sources. From the 1996 Euros-winning Germany kit to the iconic Real Madrid trim of the early 2000s, they have been taking the opportunity to boost their sales by appealing to football historians and casual jersey-wearers alike. According to the good people at Footy Headlines, their latest venture involves a kit very familiar to Bayern Munich and Germany fans - the 2014 Germany away kit."
"The kit is a bold red and black, based off Brazilian club Flamengo's colors. Silver trim makes up the shirt's details. The shirt was worn by the German national team at the World Cup in Brazil, in two games, to be exact. The first game was against the USA in their last group game, and the second was the infamous 7-1 victory over the host nation in the semifinals. Bayern Munich alumni Thomas Müller, Miroslav Klose, and Toni Kroos all scored in the kit."
Adidas will reissue the 2014 Germany away kit with an identical design to the original. The shirt uses a bold red and black colorway inspired by Brazilian club Flamengo, with silver trim detailing. The kit was worn by Germany at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in two matches: the final group game against the USA and the 7-1 semifinal victory over Brazil. Thomas Müller, Miroslav Klose, and Toni Kroos all scored while wearing the shirt, with Klose becoming the tournament's all-time leading goalscorer. The re-release is scheduled for launch in early 2026.
