"When you go out on to the pitch you always want to win. Yes, it hurts, because that's the environment we're in. It's never nice to lose,"

England lost 2-1 to Brazil in a friendly as Sarina Wiegman used the match to experiment with squad options. Brazil scored twice within 18 minutes, putting England on the back foot before Georgia Stanway pulled a goal back. Khiara Keating made her senior debut in goal, receiving a warm reception at the Etihad Stadium and delivering an assured performance despite the early goals. Keating became the first black goalkeeper to represent the Lionesses and expressed pride at the milestone. Wiegman acknowledged the disappointment of defeat but stressed the match carried no tournament consequences and allowed opportunities to try new players.
