Manager Arne Slot reflected on the past year and expressed hope that the affection held for Jota can bring his family comfort and solace. Jota scored 65 goals in 182 appearances for Liverpool, helping win the FA Cup and League Cup in 2022 and the Premier League title last season. He scored 44 goals in 131 appearances for Wolves after joining on loan from Atletico Madrid in 2017.
