Jenni Hermoso helped Tigres Femenil beat America 1-0 to secure a 4-3 aggregate victory and claim the 2025 Apertura trophy. Hermoso, 35, had previously lost Liga MX finals with Tigres and Pachuca and described the trophy as deeply significant after spending long periods away from her country and family. Tigres posted a photograph of Hermoso kissing the trophy and celebrated her as both a World Champion and Champion of Mexico. Hermoso, Spain's all-time top scorer, will travel to Madrid to rejoin the national team for the Nations League final against Germany.
