He will turn 39 next month and became the first English player to win the monthly award since its 2019 introduction. Fans' votes combined with statistical data decided the award. Cremonese lost all three November matches, with Vardy's only goal coming in a 2-1 defeat to Juventus. League leadership praised Vardy as a player from another era, noting his leadership and important goals. Vardy has started the last eight games and scored twice in a 3-1 victory over Bologna on Dec. 1. He spent 13 years at Leicester and contributed to their 2016 Premier League title.
