Aleksandar Mitrović moved to Newcastle at 20 after scoring regularly for Anderlecht but could not prevent Newcastle's relegation in his first season. Rafael Benítez did not always entrust him as the main striker, and Mitrović later joined Fulham on loan, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances before a permanent transfer in 2018. Mitrović added a further 99 goals for Fulham, including 43 in 46 appearances in 2021/22 under Marco Silva. Mitrović describes a strong connection with Silva, praises his tactical acumen and man-management, and believes Silva deserves a job at a top club.
