Liam Delap thought he had ended an eight-match goal drought when he blocked a clearance against Hull City but the ball did not cross the line. The 23-year-old striker joined Chelsea in the summer from Ipswich Town for £30m and had scored twice in 23 appearances, his last goal in early January.
