Alex Scott is a 22-year-old midfielder from Guernsey who plays for Bournemouth. He earned a senior England call-up by Thomas Tuchel for final World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania after helping England's under-21s win the Euros and impressing in the Premier League. Scott was an unused substitute in Tirana but valued the experience of his first national-team camp and learning from senior players. He became the first Channel Islander selected for the England squad since Matt Le Tissier and Graeme Le Saux. Tuchel encouraged him to keep playing, enjoying his football and performing well.
