Leverkusen recorded their first-ever away knockout win after nine winless attempts. The team conceded only one shot on target and had an Olympiacos goal disallowed for offside. Leverkusen named their oldest-ever Champions League starting XI, and captain Robert Andrich credited improved defensive organization and earlier build-up under pressure.
