Jordan Henderson paid tribute to former Liverpool team-mate Diogo Jota after scoring for Brentford by recreating Jota's trademark celebration — sitting and pretending to play a computer game. The pair played 77 games together. Jota, aged 28, died in a car crash in July along with his brother Andre Silva. Henderson's low shot deflected off Leeds defender Jaka Bijol to give Brentford a lead that was later cancelled by Dominic Calvert-Lewin's header. Henderson dedicated the goal to Jota, laid flowers outside Anfield and posted on Instagram. Henderson moved from Liverpool to Al-Ettifaq in July 2023, then Ajax in January 2024, before returning to Brentford. At 35 years and 180 days he became Brentford's oldest Premier League scorer.
