Havertz return a matter of days, not weeks, says Arteta - Soccer News
""I think it will be a matter of days, not weeks," the Gunners boss said. "Let's see in the next steps how he responds to that. But he is, again, a player that we missed a lot, a player that brings the team into a different dimension. So, I am really happy to have him back soon.""
""I remember very well. I was very hacked off in the manner that we played with 10 men. So, hopefully, it is going to be very different this time. I think the rules are different now. So, we paid a high price with that rule, and hopefully that stays away, and we continue to play with 11 players.""
Kai Havertz suffered a knee injury in Arsenal's opening match of the season after 30 minutes and has since returned to training. Mikel Arteta said Havertz's return is likely a matter of days rather than weeks and described him as a player who brings the team into a different dimension. Arsenal have scored 31 Premier League goals this season despite his absence. Havertz scored 15 goals in all competitions last season, including nine in the Premier League, and provided four assists. Arteta recalled last season's 1-1 draw with Brighton when Declan Rice was sent off and expressed hope for a different outcome this time given rule changes and disciplinary improvements this campaign.
