Harvard-Westlake opened the season with a 15-1, five-inning win over Southlake (Texas) Carroll at O'Malley Family Field. The top five hitters include college commits James Tronstein (Vanderbilt), Ethan Price (Santa Clara), Ira Rootman (Texas), freshman Louis Lappe (El Segundo Little League standout), and Jake Kim (UCLA). Kim hit his first 2026 home run after leading the Mission League with seven as a sophomore. Rootman launched a three-run homer and added 10 pounds in the weight room. Lappe delivered an RBI double in his first high school at-bat. Justin Kirchner struck out nine in four innings and is committed to Yale.
