Jean-Luc Dompé, a 30-year-old French winger for Hamburg SV, was fined a record amount in the six-figure range and suspended after police detected alcohol in a breath test during a traffic check at the end of January. The club announced the punishment and said he will remain sidelined this week but will resume training.
