Gabriel Jesus opens up on potential Arsenal exit
"I'm very grateful to Palmeiras, it's the club I support and I've made it clear to some players there that one day I'll come back. "But not at the moment, I'm under contract with Arsenal until 2027 and my wish is to stay here. "As surprising as it is, mentally I have been okay."
"My wife was pregnant with our second chil"
Gabriel Jesus ruled out leaving Arsenal before his contract expires in 2027 and expressed a desire to remain at the club. He suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury on 13 January in an FA Cup tie against Manchester United and has been sidelined since then. Jesus has been training with Arsenal for the last two weeks and is nearing a return to fitness. Media reports link him to potential January transfer activity, but Arsenal may want him fit to consider offers. Jesus expressed gratitude to Palmeiras and said a return there could happen in the future. He recorded 28 goals in 83 games at Palmeiras and won the Brasileiro Serie A and Copa do Brasil. He reported being mentally okay during recovery.
