"Two years after suffering All-Ireland final heartbreak against Glen, St Brigid's will return to Croke Park in a fortnight hoping for atone for the devastation of 2024. The Roscommon champions survived a ferocious semi-final scrap with Scotstown to win by four points. It was deserved, just about, but the Monaghan kingpins will rue a succession of squandered second half goal chances that could have turned this result on its head."
"Leading by 1-10 to 1-6 at the midpoint in Kingspan Breffni, Brigid's looked poised to push emphatically on when Conor Hand opened their second half account with a two-pointer. But from six down, Scotstown fought manfully only to be undone partly because they lacked the required ruthlessness but - even more so - because of some magnificent last-ditch defending by their Connacht opponents."
St Brigid's defeated Scotstown 1-16 to 1-12 to reach the All-Ireland club final and will face Dingle at Croke Park. The Roscommon champions led 1-10 to 1-6 at halftime and extended their advantage early in the second half when Conor Hand scored a two-pointer. Scotstown created several second-half goal opportunities but failed to convert, with Conor O'Carroll saving Shane Carey and Ruaidhrí Fallon blocking Darren Hughes' rebound on the line. Full-back Seán Trundle produced a late block to deny Jack McCarron, and Micheál McCarville missed an injury-time chance. St Brigid's advance after resilient defending.
