As is the case with the UEFA Champions League, the draw will be almost entirely computerized. So far, we have the draw pots - four cups, twelve teams each for a total of 48 teams."

Performances featured Andrea Bocelli and a new anthem by Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger. FIFA President Gianni Infantino and U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the audience. Infantino announced a FIFA Peace Prize to honor one person annually, awarding the inaugural prize to POTUS. FIFA launched an Education Fund introduced by Shakira, Hugh Jackman and Kaká to educate 100,000 children. The draw was conducted by Rio Ferdinand and Samantha Johnson, assisted by sporting legends; the process will be largely computerized using four pots of twelve teams for 48 slots, with six slots still unfilled.
