Fabio Silva is set to join Borussia Dortmund for around £29 million, with an initial payment of about £19.4m. The 23-year-old forward missed Wolves' recent EFL Cup squad and said farewell to teammates. Silva moved from Porto to Wolves in 2020 for a club-record fee and has been loaned out repeatedly since 2022. He excelled on loan at Anderlecht and PSV, later playing for Rangers and Las Palmas, where he scored 10 LaLiga goals last season. Dortmund have also signed Carney Chukwuemeka and loaned Aaron Anselmino. Wolves are pursuing Ladislav Krejci and signed Fer Lopez and Jhon Arias.

The striker or left-winger produced 16 goals and six assists across 51 games in all competitions during loans to Anderlecht and PSV in 2022/23, then scored six times in 25 appearances during a spell at Rangers the following season.
