""I was excited to visit the new ground. It's obviously frustrating, it's a beautiful stadium but it wasn't built for people with blue badges,""
""On the way out I had a young man organise me a wheelchair when I was ready to go, I can't fault them for that, they were brilliant,""
""The first time I went here, I got the train and it damn near killed me, the walk from Sandhills. I'm 85. It's a half-mile walk from the station.""
Some Everton fans with disabilities are considering giving up season tickets after the men's move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium due to access problems. Blue-badge parking and taxi pick-up/drop-off restrictions create significant difficulties for older supporters and those with mobility issues. John Roberts, 77, with arthritis, described painful transfers into taxis despite wheelchair assistance. Barry Harrison, 85, said the walk from Sandhills station is about half a mile and nearly killed him, prompting thoughts of abandoning his ticket. Mike Penn, 80, reported that nearby blue-badge parking exists but the remaining walk is a struggle.
