Douglas Luiz set for Aston Villa loan - Soccer News
"According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Aston Villa have reached a full agreement with Juventus over the transfer of Douglas Luiz. The midfielder will end his temporary stay at Nottingham Forest to return to Villa on a loan deal for the remainder of the season, at the end of which Villa will have the option to turn his return to a permanent deal for €25million, with add-ons to come on top of that amount."
"Chelsea were also interested in the services of the 27-year-old Brazil international, considering him a good fit for their needs in the middle of the park. However, they eventually decided not to pursue a deal, but rather trust the players already in their ranks. Luiz made a total of 14 appearances in all competitions this season for Forest, recording a single assist and no goals. With the World Cup approaching fast, he will be hoping for regular game time at Villa Park under Unai Emery."
