The Colorado Rapids acquired Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Paxten Aaronson in a club-record deal reported at $7m. The transfer fills a need after the club's starting No 10, Djordje Mihailovic, was traded to Toronto FC for $8m after requesting a transfer for personal reasons. Mihailovic had become a linchpin of the Rapids' attack after joining from AZ Alkmaar and helped lead Colorado to the playoffs last season.
