The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is fast-tracking appeals next month after Mexican club Leon seeks to overturn FIFA's decision banning it from the Club World Cup due to multi-club ownership issues. Alongside Leon, its sister club Pachuca has also lodged an appeal. The ruling, issued last month, could affect the final positioning in the tournament scheduled for June, with CAS hearings set for the week of May 5. Additional appeals, such as that from Costa Rican club Alajuelense, are also ongoing but are of lesser priority compared to Leon's case.
Sport's highest court confirmed it will expedite appeals next month as Club Leon seeks to overturn its expulsion from the Club World Cup.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport stated that appeals by Clubs Leon and Pachuca will be resolved during the week of 5 May.
