Carney Chukwuemeka has completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund for a reported fee of £24m. The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season with Dortmund after joining Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022 and made just four Premier League starts for Chelsea. Chukwuemeka scored on his only Bundesliga start in April during a 4-1 win at Freiburg. Borussia Dortmund signed him permanently while manager Nico Kovac extended his contract until 2027 and set aims to deliver long-term success and restore the club to its former standing. Chelsea thanked Chukwuemeka for his efforts and wished him well.
