Chelsea loan Buonanotte from Brighton for 2m

Facundo Buonanotte has joined Chelsea on a season-long loan from Brighton. The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Leicester City and will join Chelsea after they hijacked Leeds' bid. Chelsea will pay about 2m to sign the twice-capped Argentina international on a temporary basis. Buonanotte scored six goals and supplied three assists in 35 appearances as Leicester were relegated from the Premier League. Several Chelsea staff have worked with the forward at Brighton, including co-sporting director Paul Winstanley and director of global recruitment Sam Jewell. Fellow Brighton forward Julio Enciso is expected to join Strasbourg for 13.8m with a view to joining Chelsea after a year. Chelsea also signed Alejandro Garnacho for 40m and raised a Premier League-record 265m in sales.

Enzo Maresca's side also added Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United last week for 40m and have raised a Premier League-record 265m in sales.
