A technical fault caused all streams and video feeds, including the UEFA VAR feed, to go down and produced a nearly nine-minute stoppage in the first half of Chelsea's Champions League match with Barcelona. Chelsea's momentum was interrupted and manager Sonia Bompastor described the interruption as not good enough at this level. ESPN was told that the generators powering the technology failed. Late in the second half Catarina Macario had a goal ruled out for offside, and Bompastor said she was not convinced VAR was functioning for that decision. Bompastor selected Nathalie Björn and Naomi Girma ahead of Millie Bright at centre-back.
