Burke has 13 international caps, with his last appearance in 2020, and says he is enjoying football again while aiming to produce performances that might catch selectors' attention. He has had three spells in Germany since a 2016 move to RB Leipzig and describes a career of many ups and downs. He joined Union from Werder Bremen and credits German experience with his development.
