Fluminense and Brazilian media say he now stands alone in football history, although FIFA and CONMEBOL have not declared it an official record. Fabio spent his entire career in Brazil, including 976 appearances for Cruzeiro, 150 for Vasco da Gama and 30 for Uniao Bandeirante. He won the 2023 Copa Libertadores and helped reach the Club World Cup semifinals.
