Vancouver Whitecaps sporting director Axel Schuster confirmed defender Tristan Blackmon completed his entrance medical and will accompany the team to preseason training in Marbella. Reports had indicated Blackmon missed a scheduled physical a day earlier, shortly after Vancouver rejected a $3 million transfer offer from Inter Miami CF. Schuster denied a deal was nearly complete and said the club is working on a new contract for Blackmon. Schuster declined to confirm the particulars of medical scheduling or any sanctions, noting missed appointments happen, and said negotiations with Blackmon and other players continue without public detail.
