Bernardo Silva is being linked with a return to Benfica, with a potential club president candidate claiming a contract awaits and planning a January move. Silva serves as Manchester City captain and is entering the final year of his contract. He progressed through Benfica's youth system, debuted for the first team in October 2013 at 19, moved to Monaco within a year, and joined Manchester City in 2017. Silva has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. He has made 269 Premier League appearances for City with 43 goals and earned 103 caps for Portugal, winning two Nations League titles.
