Bayern Munich wanted 50M from Juventus for Josip Stanisic during summer transfer window
"According to Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia), Juve were in the market for a right-back, but balked at Bayern's price tag of €50 million for the Croatian International. Bayern also counter-offered Sacha Boey, but Juventus was not interested. Per the report, the 25-year old Stanišić will remain a target for Juventus going forward. His contract with the German Rekordmeister runs until the Summer of 2029. Unless something changes drastically with his performance, Bayern will likely not lower their asking price in the near future."
"Stanišić joined Bayern in July of 2017. He made his senior debut in 2021 before joining Bayer Leverkusen for their historic 2023/24 double winning season. Stanišić earned his first cap with Croatia in September 2021 and has earned 25 caps on the way to being a regular call up for the full senior team. Bayern Munich will host Werder Bremen in a Bundesliga match that - on paper - looks a little lopsided."
Juventus contacted Bayern Munich about Josip Stanišić as a right-back target but balked at Bayern's €50 million asking price and declined a counter-offer involving Sacha Boey. Stanišić, 25, remains an active target for Juventus while his contract with Bayern runs through Summer 2029. Bayern are unlikely to reduce their valuation unless Stanišić's performance changes significantly. Stanišić joined Bayern in 2017, debuted in 2021, spent the 2023/24 season with Bayer Leverkusen, and has earned 25 caps for Croatia. Bayern will host an injury-hit Werder Bremen in a Bundesliga match that appears lopsided.
