Bayern Munich says no thanks to Victor Osimhen
"According to a report by Tz, Bayern Munich were given the option to sign former Napoli striker Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray. It has been about 18 months since Osimhen moved to Turkey. According to the report, FC Bayern were offered to sign the player via an English intermediary. The Nigerian international, currently playing at the Africa Cup of Nations, would be willing to sign for the Bavarians - despite competition from Harry Kane."
"The former Wolfsburg striker was linked with Bayern Munich back in 2023, and there was speculation that Bayern were among a select list of 10 clubs that could sign him from Galatasaray for a release clause. However, according to the report, sporting director Max Eberl made it clear to the intermediary that Bayern Munich had no intention of signing Osimhen."
Bayern Munich were offered former Napoli striker Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray via an English intermediary. Osimhen, currently at the Africa Cup of Nations and reportedly open to a Bayern move, has personal ties to Germany and previous 2023 links. Speculation named Bayern among ten clubs able to trigger a release clause. Sporting director Max Eberl told the intermediary Bayern had no intention of signing Osimhen unless Harry Kane left, but Kane is not expected to depart. Bayern plan to open talks to extend Kane's contract. A move for Osimhen is therefore extremely unlikely in the near future.
