"With a crowd of over 50,000 fans set to come to the Allianz Arena, it's a fitting stage for FC Bayern Women as they begin a new season full of excitement and title ambitions. After an intense pre-season, José Barcala's side kicked off the campaign last weekend with a 4-2 win over Wolfsburg in the Supercup. Now the Munich Frauen return to league action looking to start off their title defence with the same form that won it in 2024/25."
"Leverkusen played several friendly matches during pre-season as they geared up for the campaign, including a 1-0 win over Ajax, a 3-0 victory against Westerlo and a final 7-1 thumping of Standard Liege. There were also defeats to fellow Bundesliga sides Hoffenheim (2-0) and Wolfsburg (3-2), plus draws with Dutch opponents Zwolle (1-1) and PSV Eindhoven (0-0). Roberto Pätzold guided the Werkself to fourth place last season - the club's best finish in their history."
FC Bayern Frauen will begin the 2025/26 Google Pixel Bundesliga season at the Allianz Arena against Bayer Leverkusen with more than 50,000 tickets sold. Bayern enter the campaign after a 4-2 Supercup victory over Wolfsburg and aim to defend the title following a 13-game winning run to finish 2024/25. Coach José Barcala will be without Barbara Dunst, Giulia Gwinn and captain Glódis Viggósdóttir due to knee injuries. Bayer Leverkusen prepared with mixed preseason results and finished fourth last season under Roberto Pätzold. Bayern beat Leverkusen twice last season and a 3-1 Bayern prediction is offered.
