Bayern Munich deserves goal of the month for the saucy strike from its Alpine Zidane
"The goal started off with a pinpoint long ball from Jonas Urbig to find Konrad Laimer. The right back had made his way highest up the pitch for Bayern, providing a passing option. His wingman Michael Olise paired up to receive the ball allowing Laimer to run further into the box. This stretch of play turned dangerous in a moment's notice due to the excellent chemistry of the right flank of Bayern. The quick short pass back from Olise was turned into the goal, through the keeper's legs with a deft touch from the back of Laimer's heel."
""You can all vote if you like. I haven't won it yet. I'd definitely like to someday," said Laimer."
""He [Laimer] just asked me if I would vote for him for 'Goal of the Month'. I guess I have to do it now.""
Konrad Laimer opened Bayern Munich's 5-0 win over Stuttgart with a backheel finish. Jonas Urbig played a pinpoint long ball to find Laimer high on the right flank, where Michael Olise combined with Laimer to create space. A quick short pass from Olise allowed Laimer to run into the box and convert with a deft backheel through the keeper's legs. Laimer expressed a desire to win Goal of the Month and invited votes. Bayern sporting executive Max Eberl committed to voting for him. Laimer prefers the nickname 'Alpine Zidane', likening the finish to Zidane's roulettes.
