Nicolas Jackson will join Bayern Munich on an initial loan from Chelsea, with Bayern paying a €15m loan fee and covering his entire salary for the season. Bayern hold an option to make the move permanent for €65m, which would bring Chelsea a total of €80m compared with the €37m Chelsea paid in 2023. Jackson dropped down Chelsea's pecking order after Liam Delap and Joao Pedro arrived and sought a move away from Stamford Bridge. Jackson has agreed personal terms, will travel to Munich for a medical, is contracted to Chelsea until 2033, and has 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 matches.
The Blues striker was frozen out of Enzo Maresca's squad, as he dropped down the pecking order following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. The Senegal striker was looking to move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, and finally an agreement has been reached between the two clubs. Bayern agree loan deal for Nicolas Jackson Aston Villa and Newcastle United were also linked with a move for the 24-year-old striker, but they never came up with a firm offer, like Bayern did.
Christian Falk exclusively told CFBayern that Bayern will pay Chelsea €15m (£13m) to sign Jackson on loan, and the Bundesliga champions have the option to make his stay permanent for €65m (£56.2m) at the end of the season. The striker has already agreed personal terms with Bayern. Bayern will pay his entire salary for the season. They could think about buying him permanently next summer if Harry Kane wants to return to the Premier League in 2026.
