Bayern Munich agree deal to sign Nicolas Jackson on loan
Briefly

Bayern Munich have secured Nicolas Jackson on a season-long loan from Chelsea for a €16.5m fee with an option to sign him next summer. The agreement includes no immediate obligation to buy, but an obligation clause activates only after a very high number of appearances, which would extend his stay by four additional years (five years in total). Jackson remains under contract with Chelsea until 2033. The transfer nearly collapsed after Chelsea instructed him to return to London following Liam Delap's injury, but Jackson and his agent stayed in Munich to push the move through. Jackson has completed his medical and will be Bayern's second summer signing after Luis Diaz; he has 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 matches for Chelsea.
Christian Falk told CFBayern that Bayern will pay a loan fee of €16.5m for Jackson, who has a contract with Chelsea until 2033. The deal does not have an obligation to buy, but Bayern do have the option to sign the Senegal international next summer. Falk further added that the 'obligation to buy' option becomes active only with a very high number of games. Jackson will remain at the German club for another four years (five years in total) if the clause is activated.
“Nico was ready. Bayern was ready. We were all aligned on a world-class project. For the agreement to be withdrawn at the final moment is deeply frustrating. But we won't give up. I will fight with everything I have to make sure Nico's next step reflects his talent, ambition, and the plan we built together. We hope that Chelsea can cover Liam Delap's unfortunate injury.”
