"A tumultuous second season for Bay FC in the National Women's Soccer League that began with an investigation into its coach and saw two of its figureheads put in their pink slips came to a close with a 1-0 loss Sunday at Racing Louisville. The Bay FC back line fended off pressure throughout a scoreless first half but allowed Ella Hase to break through for the game's only goal three minutes after intermission."
"A 90-minute performance for defender Caprice Dydasco, however, put her in the league history books. With her start and full shift, Dydasco secured iron woman status, playing every minute of the 2025 regular season. She is the first Bay FC player to reach the milestone, accomplished by only 40 other players in league history entering 2025 including Bay FC defenders Abby Dahlkemper (2016, 2017), Kelli Hubly (2022) and Emily Menges (2016)."
Bay FC finished the season with a 1-0 loss at Racing Louisville, ending with four wins, eight draws and 14 losses and placing 13th of 14 teams. The club's second season was marred by an investigation into an allegedly toxic workplace under coach Albertin Montoya, who announced he would step down after the season. The loss extended a winless run to 15 matches since the club's last victory on June 7. The 2025 campaign was a step back from a 2024 seventh-place finish. Defender Caprice Dydasco played every minute of the 2025 regular season, earning iron woman status.
