Bavarian Loan Works: Sacha Boey scores in Champions League
"Bayern Munich loanee Sacha Boey returned to Galatasaray earlier this month after earning little to no playing time in Munich this season. Coming off his first start of the loan spell on Friday, Boey was back on the bench for the Turkish side's Champions League match on Tuesday against Italian giants, Juventus. From the bench, Boey saw his team come back from an early deficit to take control of the tie in second half of the first leg."
"He came off the bench in the 83rd minute with Galatasaray up 4-2 and playing up one man for about 20 minutes. Just three minutes later he scored the final goal of the match to put his team up 5-2. This was Boey's first goal since Bayern's 10-0 win against Auckland FC in the Club World Cup in June. The second leg will be in Turin next Wednesday. Galatasaray have put themselves in a great position to move on to the Champions League Round of 16."
