Molineux conceded heavily in the sixth over as both batters executed effective sweeps, yielding 14 runs to end the powerplay. Garth’s second over yielded early aggression from Jemimah but then tighter lines and a missed edge due to the powerplay field configuration. Sutherland produced tidy balls and a close lbw appeal survived due to an under-edge. Brown improved in her second over, including a bouncer cut for four by Smriti.
