Atletico Madrid extend Simeone contract until 2030
"Atletico Madrid have signed forward Giuliano Simeone to a two-year contract extension until 2030. The son of Atleti's long-time coach Diego Simeone joined the club from River Plate in 2019 and made his professional debut for their B team in 2021 before making his maiden first-team appearance in April 2022. Loans to Real Zaragoza and Alaves followed, but the Argentina international played 50 games in all competitions for the Rojiblancos last season and has remained an integral part of the team this season."
"After scoring five goals and providing eight assists last season, Simeone has already found the net three times this term while registering seven assists, his latest coming in the Supercopa de Espana defeat to Real Madrid. Only Julian Alvarez (16) and Antoine Griezmann (11) have registered more goal involvements (10) than Simeone this season. Fourth in LaLiga, Atletico host Alaves on Sunday."
