Fermin Lopez hit the crossbar and Jules Kounde cleared Julian Alvarez's attempt off the line, but Ademola Lookman swept in to make it 3-0 after 33 minutes. Lookman then set up Julian Alvarez to fire the fourth during added time before the break. Marc Pubill returned to Atletico's lineup and Juan Musso started in goal for Barcelona.
