Christian Norgaard joined Arsenal from Brentford in July for a fee rising to 15m. The 31-year-old enjoyed a successful six-year spell at Brentford, captaining the club and helping secure promotion in 2021. Norgaard's breakthrough came at Brondby, where he made more than 100 appearances. His Arsenal deal runs for two years with an option for a further year, and he intends to return to Brondby when that contract expires, though he would stay the extra year if the fit develops.
