Arsenal have signed 23-year-old Ecuadorian centre-back Piero Hincapie on loan from Bayer Leverkusen for the 2025-26 season. Hincapie made over 100 appearances during four years in Germany and played a key role in Leverkusen's 2023-24 Bundesliga title. He began at Independiente del Valle, breaking into the first team at 17. Hincapie has 46 caps for Ecuador and featured at the 2022 World Cup and two Copa América tournaments (2021 and 2024). He is Arsenal's eighth summer signing. The club also moved Jakub Kiwior to Porto on loan and transferred Fabio Vieira and Sambi Lokonga to Hamburg (loan and permanent).
