Arsenal news: Record deal agreed for signing of 16-year-old talent
Briefly

Arsenal completed several summer signings including Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Nrgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze. The club has reached agreement to sign 16-year-old Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers for €2m, potentially rising to €4m with add-ons, marking a record sale for a League of Ireland club. FIFA rules prevent Ozhianvuna joining until he turns 18, so the transfer will be completed in January 2027 when he will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract. Ozhianvuna, born in Tallaght to Russian and Nigerian parents, debuted for Shamrock Rovers in January and scored his first professional goal in the FAI Cup; he is primarily a midfielder who can also operate on either wing.
Arsenal have had a very productive summer transfer window, and they have now agreed a deal for their latest signing. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Nrgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze, whose arrival from Crystal Palace was confirmed on Saturday, have already joined, and business at the Emirates is not done yet. There may be another first team signing made, but efforts are also being made to strengthen the academy.
