Kostov operates as an attacking central midfielder and has registered five goals and five assists in the Serbian Super Liga this season. He recently made his senior international debut and remains 17, meaning Brexit rules prevent an international transfer until the summer when he turns 18. Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are also linked, and Red Star's chief executive said the club received a €20 million offer.
