Daily Schmankerl: Rumored Bayern Munich target Nico Schlotterbeck makes demands known to Borussia Dortmund; Real Madrid could swipe Erling Haaland from Manchester City; Liverpool to make move for Ronald Araujo; and MORE!
"Borussia Dortmund have made their first contract proposal for Nico Schlotterbeck. The first offer was an extension until 2030 with a base salary of €8m, but that could increase with a successful season, as well as Bundesliga bonuses worth €1m. ⚫️🟡 Nico Schlotterbeck wants a guaranteed salary of €10m in his new Borussia Dortmund contract."
"It seems as if Bayern Munich's interest in Schlotterbeck is completely dependent on what happens with Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae. Having Schlotterbeck to pair with Jonathan Tah seems like something that would be appealing to Bayern Munich if it loses a defender or two. However, both Real Madrid (mentioned above) and FC Barcelona are said to be interested in the the center-back as well, which could make things difficult."
Borussia Dortmund offered Schlotterbeck an extension through 2030 with a base salary of €8m and up to €1m in Bundesliga bonuses, with the wage able to rise after a successful season. Schlotterbeck wants a guaranteed €10m salary in his new contract. Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have shown interest, with Bayern's pursuit hinging on the futures of Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae. Pairing Schlotterbeck with Jonathan Tah would appeal to Bayern if defensive departures occur. Liverpool, Juventus, Chelsea and Tottenham have interest in Ronald Araújo, who prefers to stay at Barcelona and is contracted until June 2031.
