Aberdeen manager shortlist 'in a few more days'

"It is important for us not to make a rushed decision, it is important for us to really think very well through, to have the interviews to go into the details and that I would rather take a little bit more time with rather than making a decision which is not right.""

Aberdeen began a managerial search after Jimmy Thelin's departure, with sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel leading the process and Peter Leven acting as interim. Pfannenstiel says the club moved beyond a long list and is narrowing final candidates, expecting a clear shortlist within a few days. Aberdeen sit eighth in the Scottish Premiership, have lost five of their past six league matches and have failed to score in four. Pfannenstiel emphasises taking time for thorough interviews to ensure the right appointment while targeting immediate wins in upcoming cup and league fixtures.
