"There are no words in this world to describe how grateful I am for this unbelievable gesture,"
"You have given me a gift that I can never repay. I am forever thankful, I love you."
"I will forever be grateful to Fraser. I'd have done the same for him, but the main thing is we're both here and we're as healthy as possible."
"He has done incredible really, even more so after the kidney operation. It takes a lot more determination to come back from something like that and play professionally again."
Kevin McDonald, 37, received a kidney donated by his older brother Fraser, 40, enabling a crucial transplant that restored his health. McDonald was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy after a medical at Burnley in 2008 when high protein appeared in his urine and managed the condition while building a professional career, including Premier League appearances and Scotland caps. Fraser's donation is described as life-saving and allowed McDonald to resume playing for Exeter City, with plans to feature in an FA Cup third-round tie at Manchester City. Fraser attended the match among thousands of Exeter fans and expressed pride in his brother's recovery and determination.
