Ellie Roebuck suffered a stroke six months after being part of England's 2023 World Cup final squad but completed her recovery. Roebuck signed for Barcelona in 2024, made two appearances for the club, and later joined Aston Villa. Roebuck was not selected for Euro 2025 and watched the tournament while supporting close teammates. Hannah Hampton stepped into the goalkeeping role at the Euros, and Roebuck expressed admiration for Ann-Katrin Berger.
