Jackson Hole Mountain Resort marks its 60th anniversary with the 'Layers of Time' video celebrating its terrain and pioneering spirit. The resort opened lifts in December 1965 to provide skiers access to the Tetons' rugged terrain. The landscape was forged over nearly three billion years by tectonic forces, glacial carving, and active fault lines. The geology ranges from ancient marine sediments and oceanic layers to resilient metamorphic and igneous rocks defining the mountain's character.
